About Robert "Super-Mann" Blount–
I am Robert “Super-mann” Blount, a Minister of health, a Bodybuilding promoter, former co-chairman of the N.P.C for the state of Georgia. (National Physique Committee is the largest governing body of amateur bodybuilding in the world.1st African American ever appointed to that position.) I am an ordained minister of the Gospel, an NPC judge, a licensed Exercise Specialist Technician & Professional Trainer specializing with Professional Athletes in all sports for over 35 years.
I majored in Business Management & minored in Physical Education at Morris Brown College in Atlanta, GA. I played four years of college football and two years of professional football in the World Football League, rushing over 100 yards per game.
My bodybuilding, fitness, and training career began in 1980 under the professional training of World Class Power Lifter, U.S.A. Bodybuilding Champion, and Pro-Wrestler Tony Atlas. After one year of working with Mr. Atlas I began training with Mr. America, Mr. Universe and Mr. World, Tony Pearson. I spent two years of learning professional training mechanics, lifting techniques, health and nutritional concepts for all body types, stage and posing presentation, undoubtedly my most advance training.
In 1984, I began training with Mr. Olympia Champion, Lee Haney. The Mr. Olympia Bodybuilding Champion is the greatest bodybuilder in the world. I professionally trained, coached and motivated Mr. Haney seven years to win seven consecutive Mr. Olympia Championships, surpassing the great Arnold Schwanegger’s previous record. Lee Haney currently holds the world record in professional bodybuilding, winning eight Mr. Olympia Championships.
I’ve toured the U.S.A. and Europe giving motivational seminars on health, fitness, nutrition, and bodybuilding. My seminars address the serious issues of obesity, sedentary lifestyles, and the lack of physical activities and the negatives of unhealthy eating. I encourage all ages to aim for a healthy weight goal, a heart healthy eating plan and benefits of regular physical activities. As a motivational speaker I have been honored to speak in public schools, teacher’s workshops, churches, conventions, parks and recreational centers, D.A.R.E. conventions throughout the country.
I’ve appeared and written articles in nutritional and health magazines throughout the world including, Joe Weider’s Muscle & Fitness, Flex & Iron Man Magazine. Including local media organization in Shreveport and Bossier areas.
I’m renowned for opening and owning the 1St African American Health Club in America, researched by Essence Magazine. 1st African American to promote a sanctioned N.P.C. Bodybuilding show in the United States. I’m the first to promote bodybuilding, health and nutrition in the state of Louisiana working with city and state officials.
My Bodybuilding Titles includes, Central Georgia Champion, Peach State Champion, Atlanta Championships and Southern Cup U.S.A. Championships.

I am the Executive Director & President of “Fit For Life” Inc., a 501 (c) (3) Non-Profit Corporation, along with my wife Richelle who is the love of my life, dedicated to improving the health and wellness of Americans of all ages.
Fit For Life Inc. promotes Fit For Life Weekend. A weekend of sports, health, fitness and prevention awareness.
We have partnered with the city of Shreveport Mayors Office, LA. Governor’s Council on Fitness, Caddo Parish School Board, Coca-Cola Bottling Company, SPAR (Shreveport Parks and Recreation), America Diabetes Association, Tobacco Free Living, President Council on Physical Fitness and Sports, and others. “Fit For Life Weekend,” was conceived to heighten awareness of the importance of health, fitness, good nutrition and a physically active lifestyle. By partnering with Caddo Parish School Board Fit For Life Inc. hosted the largest exercise class in North Louisiana History with over 4000 children participating.
On October 29, 2008 I was appointed by Governor Bobby Jindal of Louisiana to the Commission on Men’s Health and Wellness. Our mission is to serve the men and boys of Louisiana, helping to educate and encourage them to live a healthier lifestyle as well as understanding the importance of regular medical check ups and screenings.
My wife Richelle and I are hosting Fitness Talk, a radio talk show educating Louisianans on the benefits of a Fit For Life Style. We are on KMRD 1340 AM each Saturday morning from 10:00-11:00 am.
